"The most memorable day for me was our first day in Quimper. We were given a tour the city and taught the history of the town. My favorite part was walking through-out the cathedral. "My favorite day was the Brittany museum visit because of the costumes we saw, it was very fascinating especially learning about the fabric that we cannot make anymore. I also was super proud of myself for translating for the group. Later in the day we went to the museums reserve which is not open to the public and that was also very intriguing. We then spent the rest of the day at the festival of lights!"

“This trip has been extremely eye opening and amazing in several ways. My favorite part was going to Le Minor and seeing how they do all their embroidery. Being able to see the time put into all the intricate detail, which is done by hand, was an amazing experience. I intend on taking what I learned and putting into my future projects.”

“During our trip to Brittany, I have been amazed at the beautiful towns and villages we have visited. Though I have been to France before, it’s been primarily to larger cities like Paris, so being given the opportunity to see the beautiful countryside has been a truly amazing experience. We have also been so fortunate to have the hospitality of the locals, as they’ve been truly welcoming at every turn, which has made the trip just that much more special to me.”

“One of my favorite parts of visiting Brittany has been being able to learn more about design and the arts outside of what I study day to day. I particularly loved the walking tour of Quimper and learning more about the history and architecture of the town. “

“Having the opportunity to travel and experience Brittany has been so inspiring. As a young designer, I’ve seen beautiful examples of the historical architecture, intricate textiles, and fine artwork of the region. While I have thoroughly enjoyed each day of our trip, I especially valued meeting Pascal Jaouen and viewing his beautiful, detailed work. I additionally enjoyed experiencing and learning about the rich history of the Saint-Corentin Cathedral.”

"Immersing myself in the arts and culture of Brittany has opened my eyes as a designer. I have enjoyed being inspired by graphic and type styles, but learning about the architecture and fashion has made me appreciate how unique each area of design is. One of my favourite tour visits was Armor Lux, where I found myself loving the history and intricate details of the behind-the-scenes of the company. Overall having the opportunity to travel along the coast of France has been an amazing studying experience!"

"Our trip to Brittany, France has been an unforgettable experience. Every corner of Quimper tells a story of creativity and passion that I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to explore and learn about. This trip has not only expanded my perspective on the world but also introduced a deep respect for the people who preserve and celebrate their heritage while continuing to inspire new generations of artists. Some of my highlights of this trip were the Reception at the Quimper Townhall, visit to Armor Lux and painting my own Breton bowl!"
